And now I'm annoyed b/c I had a whole entry written that didn't post. UGH!
Saturday (although now its Wednesday) was a big day--I hit 16 weeks and turned 30! We spent the day by going to Sea Catch in Georgetown and having a yummy lunch. Pigpen gave me Yahtzee (or rather a score card and diamond stud earrings. He did good! I was very surprised since he spent the whole week complaining that he needed birthday ideas just to throw me off. It worked! That night we went to Ms. Bostron's apt since she and Dr. B hosted a party for me with all my handbell peeps, Revels C, H and K and twin J and her gangsta man. It was fun! We had ice cream cake and played Wii.
On Monday I went to the doctor for my AFP appt (genetic testing) where they just took my blood. The doctor let me listen to the heartbeat even though I was there 10 days before and it made it a little more real since I'm getting further along. The doc said everything seemed good even though I had lost 1lb. She said not to worry, that it would fluctuate but to keep eating. I'm TRYING! I need to drink more water too but that's hard b/c I feel like crap when I drink when I'm full and when I'm hungry, I know I should eat! Its hard to eat healthy and gain weight.
Below is my 16 week pic taken Monday night. I'm showing a little but you wouldn't know it when I'm dressed. I'm sucking it in in the picture but that's b/c I figure at some point I won't be able to suck it in so we'll see a difference. Pigpen and I try to push on my belly a little to see if we can feel Peanut move but no such luck yet. Oh well! Any week now...
