Allegra at almost a year, Cadence is 3!

Wow,time is flying. This year has gone so fast. Allegra is almost 1 and we are planning a small birthday party with family and a few friends. It is really hard to buy stuff for Allegra since she doesn't need clothes or toys! I put baby food snacks on her wish list. Allegra went from a super fussy newborn to a hysterical baby almost toddler. She started crawling around 9 months. She pretty soon started pulling up after that. She started sleeping really well around 7 months and is predictable with naps and overnight sleeping. Bedtime is 7:30pm, up between 7 and 7:30am, nap at 9:30 for an hour, nap at 2 for an hour or so. She was nursing 4 times a day at wake up, 11ish, 4ish, and bedtime. I went to DB this year and so after being a super nurser, she was forced to do bottles and got good at this. We started adding in whole milk about a week ago and she took it ok when there was more breastmilk than whole milk. Today she had her first bottle of all whole milk. She wasn't thrilled about it but drank it if I held her. I am still nursing at wake up and bed time but she did great with GramPam last night with a bottle. She just wants it warm. She eats our food but makes it clear when she doesn't like something by sticking her tongue out with the food on it. When she is done, she throws the food on the floor. Allegra makes great faces. She is now "talking" but not saying anything you can understand. She loves to see airplanes. She also loves to go into Cadence's old classroom at Kiddie Country to play and the teachers love her. I think she will love preschool and will be very comfortable there. Allegra is very go with the flow and loves new people. She is not shy! She loves music and dances whenever she hears it. She is really good at climbing the stairs when we allow her to. We are working on going down the stairs feet first. Cadence is 3 and potty trained on her birthday. She hasn't had a poop accident yet and does ok at public potties. She is learning to test her limits and does it whenever possible. It takes a lot of patience right now. She sometimes naps at school but more often doesn't which is frustrating since she is so tired those nights. She really likes school and gets excited to go 3 days a week. She can sing lots of songs and recognizes her letters and numbers up to 10 although she gets a few messed up and sometimes reads right to left. We are working on her writing her name. Her memory is funny--she remembers things from awhile ago, but doesn't always remember what she had for lunch. She loves to go to GramPam and Oma's house and likes church with GramPam. I took her to her first bell concert and she did pretty good. I think we will go to a Christmas concert too. Cadence loves puzzles and was into Candyland for awhile. She goes through moods. We took family pics with Drew again yesterday and C was a disaster, only wanting me. Hopefully we got something good. C is very shy in certain social situations, especially with adults or a new place. I takes her sometime to warm up, even at school. Silly girl. Her hair is long and she chooses how she wants me to do her hair. We love to voice her opinions! We are introducing her to some movies and little tv shows as a reward, especially since we now have a DVD player in the van. We are still trying to limit tv. She loves seeing Mickey and Minnie Mouse. She loves Dora too but has only seen the show a coup,e of times. She also walks around saying she is a princess. Cracks us up. The girls are getting big and I'm excited to see how big Allegra is at her one year checkup. She has 9 teeth (3 bottom front, 4 top front, one molar bottom right and one molar top right) and I think another molar is coming bottom left. Even faster than Cadence! More soon!
