I have a cold, and it sucks! I obviously came down with James' cold from last week. It hit pretty hard Christmas Eve and has only gotten worse. I slept terribly that night!
We finally told the families! Mom and Pop Pigpen found out Christmas Eve using a Peanuts card that plays the theme song. Outside it said "get ready to do the happy dance" or something like that. Momma P opened the card up where there was a picture of the ultrasound with "Hi Grandma" written in but it took her a little time to figure it out. We had signed it "love, Peanut" and she had to open and close the card a couple times to get it. Pop Pop didn't quite figure it out (mostly b/c he couldn't read the card) but Momma P filled him in and quietly passed the card to Aunt D. She of course proceeded to blurt out "when are you due?" and everyone else figured it out. Aunt J was there as well as Uncle A and his daughter K, son in law K and granddaughter J. It was very exciting and quite funny as everyone figured it out.
Xmas morning we called my Dad and had him open his email with K nearby. K had an idea what the surprise was since I gave warning that Dad was going to have to open an email xmas morning. They are both very excited too.
Poppa found out xmas night when we went there for dinner. He's happy and made sure I knew I get to take it easy from now on. I like the way he thinks!
After researching online, reading the doctor's ok list and texting K-dog, my resident pharmacist, I finally bought some Sudafed to take. It seems to help a bit. We slept quite late today and although I threw up twice on xmas eve (once before I even got to butter up my bagel!) and once yesterday, I've managed to be ok today. I haven't had much to eat though. I think its time to cook up some Ramen.
8 weeks tomorrow! Slowly but surely we are getting there.
