Boy do we have a little jumper on our hands! She loves to be in her saucer or in Oma's jumping thing and just go to town. Its pretty funny to watch as she is very matter of fact about the whole thing.
Her skin is 1000x better. We went to a followup appt with the dermatologist today who said to finish the antibiotic and use the cream as necessary on the "difficult" spots. We are supposed to keep using eucerin cream and the special soap to help. We only go back if there's a problem or another flare up. Its so amazing to see the difference!
Her new "words" are ba ba ba and ma ma ma. Of course, in no context to actually be saying ma ma but its cute anyway. I've been working on getting her to say da da da. Not so much yet. She has started SHRIEKING whenever possible, especially in public. It is REALLY loud and puts me to shame. She's not mad or upset or necessarily happy when she does it, just wants everyone to know she is there. She is also all about sticking her nose up like something smells and sniffling. Its a cute face because she's a baby but its not really a cute face. She is also working on blowing raspberries with her lips and we have a great video of her doing the many faces of Cadence the other night.
She's still a good eater, after I was told I didn't need to be neurotic about how much formula she would take. She used to be in the high 20's and now she is sometimes lucky to get to 20oz a day so I was concerned. Apparently as long as she seems satisfied, we're all good. We have switched to a whole grain cereal (from rice cereal) which she seems to like and she's good about eating all her fruits and veggies. Especially since her fruits have had her nasty "orange and pineapple" smelling antibiotic mixed in since she will have nothing to do with the dropper we got. I even tried real food the other night--used the magic bullet to grind up some of the chicken and rice I made for us. She didn't seem like she loved it but she definitely ate it a couple of days in a row so she didn't hate it! I can't figure out if its going to be a pain to make baby food or if it will make life better. It will probably make me and Pigpen eat more healthy since I'll be buying fruits and such. I would really like for her to eat better than we do.
The business is bustling and we are just go go go. Cadence loves being outside in the stroller with daddy while we works around the shop. Gives mommy a few min to get things done!
GramPam is in Egypt (well, Paris on the way to Egypt) and Oma is at the beach. What is mommy to do! Especially since I have my first cold in a really really long time that I'm trying not to give Cadence. Its hard when I'm with her all day but hopefully she can fend it off. It was a sore throat, now a little cough and congestion. UGH. I wondered if it was allergies at first but zyrtec didn't help. I should try Claritin.
Brian and Katie welcomed Victoria last night around 7pm! Cadence is excited for another invitee to her first birthday party in August. Katie was a mad woman and did it without drugs. More power to her! :)
We went to a brunch at Jenna and Wade's on Saturday and got to play with a lot of other babies around C's age. She was a little grabby for other babies toys which we'll have to work on but I love that she's getting exposure to other kids. YAY! We have her and Brooke signed up for swim class in May!
