Our baby girl turned two months old yesterday! The time is flying.
She is smiling so much when she's in a good mood. Granted, she's a good crier too. :) We love it when she interacts with us. She's starting to make noises, mostly when you make noises at her like "hi" and hello." We have a video of her talking like she's saying "hi." Its pretty cute. I'm excited for her to make more noises--I hope she hurries up! Lots of time, she likes to be chatty when I'm changing her diaper. Maybe its b/c I make lots of noises about how icky her poop is. :)
Last weekend Mom was out of town so Pigpen and I took Poppa to see Nonnie. It was Cadence's first visit there! Nonnie LOVED her and was all smiles. She was in a good mood already when we showed up which helped and she just stared at the baby the whole time. I think Poppa was glad to have a such a good visit. Nonnie kept commenting that she had nice skin and was a smart baby. Luckily Cadence behaved and only cried once. Pigpen cleaned Ensco and did some fertilizings before picking us up.
I'm probably bottle feeding about 80% of the time these days. My left nipple seems to have healed finally but I've gotten into a good pumping flow--when I wake up, around 2 or 3pm, before I go to bed and then during the night. I have about 75oz in the freezer if you can believe it! Some of it will go to Distinctly Bronze with me and Mom on Thursday. Cadence seems to not be a good nurser which Pat the lactation consultant says may be because she inherited my TMJ issues. I may take her to see a doctor about it that Pat recommended to see if we can deal with any problems early. Cadence has hit her deductible so why not! (Our credit card bill is over $6,000 this month since I paid for the hospital bills on the joint card to get cash back.)
Well, she decided to do some vomiting again, about 10 days ago. I called the doctor once she had done it twice after bottle feeding so I changed bottles to a very slow flow preemie nipple. But she did it twice after nursing so I got concerned. I took her in just to make sure she was gaining weight, which she was. On Sept 25 I think, she was 10lbs!
Cadence has a great fascination for her swing. She really notices the spinning birds and likes to look in the mirror. Its really cute to watch her be so fascinated.
I'm taking lots of videos since I think she'll like looking at them later. I know we will.
Off to run errands! Busy getting ready for DB. I'm nervous as to how the trip will go since it'll be a new place for her sleeping wise, lots of time with GramPam and no daddy (and lots of time with no mommy!) We'll see how it goes!
