Yesterday was Cadence's first Thanksgiving! We spent it at GramPam's house with the Lutz's, Johnsons and Poppa. For lunch, we went to visit Nonnie at Arden Courts who loved seeing Cadence again, but thought she was a boy. She even held Cadence for awhile and we took some pictures. We got pictures of the 4 generations too, which I'm glad we got a chance to do. The we went to GramPam's house for the afternoon before everyone came. We were hoping she would nap well but she really didn't--took a lot of quick cat naps for about a half an hour. But she made her grand appearance for dinner and was pretty well behaved. She sat at the table with us since we brought her high chair which fits on any chair. I think that was a good gift! We were able to get her home and into bed before 9:30pm which I'm really glad for.
Tuesday was Pop Pop's birthday and a total disaster. We went to the Penn house at 6pm and did gifts first then dinner. Dinner seemed to take forever and so she didn't eat well at the restaurant and was before and afterwards. It didn't help that we sort of woke her up from a nap to go over to Oma and Pop Pop's house. She hadn't napped well that day so she was tired. When I handed her to Oma, she LOST it. She had done the exact same thing to Cheryl and GramPam the other day so I think its about exhaustion. GramPam was glad to know that it didn't just happen to her! It started a little on Thanksgiving when Penny held her but she was fine when Nonnie held her earlier in the day and apparently Willa has the magic touch too! During dinner though, she was fine when GramPam held her--a little fussy but in a different way. Not all out screaming but just wining b/c she was tired.
Its all about what she can put in her mouth at this point! She loves to grab her blankets or burp cloths and stick them in her mouth with her fingers. Guess we have to be really careful about what we give her!
I stepped on the scale at GramPam's house then got on with her and she seemed to weight 14lbs! We go back to the doctor in 10 days.
We are skyping with grandma and grandpa soon! Hopefully she'll be in a good mood. :)
