So much snow!

We just got nailed with a blizzard. It started on Friday night, around 9pm and Pigpen and Whitney went to sleep and got up at 3am to go plow. They didn't get home until 1:30am this morning! We had an issue with the plow on my truck but luckily we had the second one going and Pigpen was able to fix the problem. They just left to go take care of some residential customers.

Cadence and I have been holding down the fort. Today I hope to wrap some xmas presents! I'm tired so I may try to take a nap today. We didn't venture out into the snow yesterday b/c it was coming down pretty fast and we got some much (about 22 inches?) that I was afraid I'd lose Cadence in it! :) It is quite the storm.

Cadence is 4 and a half months and still cute as can be. Her sleeping has gone back to normal thank goodness! She's still doing ok with the bottles that are mixed with formula and breastmilk. She loves her feet, especially on the changing table. No rolling over yet but sometimes she goes on her side. She's a chatty one still with lots to say. Smiles are still there for everyone, even strangers! We put her in the shower with Pigpen for the first time on Thursday night which she didn't seem to like or dislike but she certainly got unhappy when I ran with her from the one bathroom to the other to put her in the tub for her bath! :)

She is much more intense when she looks at things and tries to figure them out. She really likes her crinkly book, mostly to chew on it though. I try to vary her toys and make sure to give her ones she can put in her mouth since that's all she does. She doesn't like to sit/be in one place for a very long period of time so I have to vary things like moving her from her saucer to playmat to vibrate chair. She's been very good about sitting and kicking in her vibrate chair while I take a shower when Pigpen isn't home yet. I definitely have to catch her in a good mood though and not hungry.

I'm probably going to need to leave the house tomorrow for my sanity but its still pretty bad on the roads so I won't try today. Record breaking snowfall for December! And today is Oma's birthday! I guess we'll celebrate tomorrow.
