Hard to believe that this Saturday will be 36 weeks. I can't believe it is already July. Baby is big and kicking lots, usually at inopportune times like when I am resting. Pigpen put his head against my tummy last night and could really hear her heartbeat which I think was really exciting for him. Unfortunately, I can't bend that way, but feeling her kick is enough for me. :)
The weather is still quite mild--low 80's today when we should really be in the high 80's with high humidity but I'm not complaining. With about 4 1/2 weeks until my due date, I'll take all the cool weather I can get. We are able to sleep with the windows open since its getting into the 60's at night. BEAUTIFUL.
Today we have a maid service coming. I signed up for 4 visits--one today, one near the end of July before Pigpen's birthday and then one at the end of August and one at the end of September since I think I'll be focused on other things at that point. :) We also have a guy coming this evening to clean our air ducts. God only knows if that has ever been done. We've lived here 2 years and we certainly haven't done it but with the baby coming, we though it was a good idea and I have a coupon! I'm curious to see how they even do it.
Its been a relaxing work week for James. The yards are slowing down b/c although we have had a very wet spring, we haven't had rain in about 2 weeks. The crew is getting between 20-25 or so jobs done a day since they are able to move faster since things aren't growing as much. We're trying to get any odd jobs out of the way so he can have some time when the baby comes, whenever the heck that is.
I've really had some up and down days. I really hate feeling so limited physically. Its one thing to self limit but knowing that I need to take care of myself by resting and getting my feet up is hard when I'm so active. In some ways, I don't even feel like dealing with food. I have no interest in cooking and no interest in making the effort to go out. The other night I was in such a bad down mood that Pigpen ended up making me a PB&J for dinner and then we went out for ice cream. The ice cream definitely helped as that usually puts me in a good mood. :)
I'm definitely feeling the Braxton Hicks a bit more and although they don't hurt per se, they can get uncomfortable. I'm sure I'm not feeling every one so they aren't bothering me too much. They are definitely not limiting me and don't feel like real contractions. I'm still paranoid that I won't feel the real ones at first. :)
Here's my 35 week picture. I head to the doctor on Tuesday and then start going every week.
