Saturday was 36 weeks! According to the books, I will be full term at the end of this week. I spent Saturday day working with James since we needed me to drive a second dump trailer. Luckily it wasn't too hot and I did ok. I was pooped though. I'm pretty tired these days but can luckily still function. Its mostly that I'm just not sleeping that well. Unfortunately, not like that is going to change once the baby comes.
Yesterday I had my last 2 week doctors appt or first 1 week one, depending on how you look at it. :) Things looked good--I had a culture done to test for some bacteria or something, very quick and painless. It was the first time I had to undress. I think for the next appts I undress and they actually check my cervix. I go on Tuesday. Pigpen came with me since we were headed to the farm afterwards to bale a little hay (first time we got out there this season for hay!) We heard the heartbeat and apparently baby is low in my pelvis and head down which is good. My blood pressure and urine were fine and the Dr. didn't even care that my belly button ring is still in. :) When I was checking out, I was showing Pigpen my chart of how they keep track of everything at each appt. It turns out I weighed 134 at the beginning of my pregnancy but dropped to 129 at the first appt b/c of the nausea. I did go back up to 131 but then back down to 129 before steadily gaining after that. At yesterday's appt, I was 146.7. The lady at checkout made me a copy of that page in the chart so I could put it in the baby book, which is really cool. Dr. G is predicting a 7lb baby born between Aug 1 and Aug 15 (a week before and a week after my due date of Aug 8). We'll see!
The weather has still been quite mild and the low last night was below 60 degrees! I don't want to open the windows b/c of the dust (we haven't had rain in a few weeks) but it seems so silly to use the AC when its so nice out. At least the Maids are coming back on July 30 and maybe I'll keep the house sealed up after that. :) My feet get tired really fast and my toes and fingers are pretty swollen. Its even pretty hard to put my fingers in a fist which is just weird. I want my body back to normal!
Here's my 36 week picture, taken Monday night. I didn't think I could get any bigger, but I think I am! I could barely button the brown pants I've been wearing in the pictures for the last one but that may have been b/c they were a little tight from the wash. She is still very active, despite the lack of room she has. I think she's going to be a wild one.
